Mindful Based Wellness Projects 

These on-line based wellness projects last anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Each project comes with real time e-mail based support from a local therapist, trained in Mindful based CBT and DBT for anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.

Our retreats take place weekly at our acreage nestled on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. Groups can be tailor made or feel free to inquire about pre-planned  Mindful or self-care groups.

Preparation Guide

Welcome to Prairie Sky Education and our Mindful Based Wellness Projects preparation guide!

If you are interested in this project, know that it will  be an exercise in self-care, self-reflection, and self-guided growth and discovery. You will spend the next 8 weeks dedicating as little as 5 minutes a day or as much as a couple hours a week to balance, being, and benevolence to self. The generosity and gifts you give will be to yourself, so take your time, set aside time, and remind yourself ~ time IS a generous gift and it is the one thing that no amount of money can buy.

In preparation for weeks one through eight you will start by framing your understanding of mindfulness. The concept will hopefully become more than a simple word, idea, or catch phrase. You will identify yourself with what it means to be mindful in your life, your context, and your environment. Presence and a mindful state of being can feel different for everyone, so remember you cannot go wrong, you can only go right! You will also soon learn, as the mantra for the project states; ‘when nothing goes right, go left’ (Source Unknown). Really, there is only one way to go, and whichever way that is, it’s right for you in the here and now.
